In order to meet the outspoken needs for better internal and external communication, ICOM is investigating  the feasibility and benefits of replacing International Committee acronyms with shorter names reflecting the committees’ core activities. The purpose is to enhance communication, visibility, and inclusivity.

The CAMOC Board wants to hear your opinion. Would ICOM CAMOC benefit from a new name? Do you have a suggestion for what that would be? What benefits or problems do you see in a potential name change?

The Board will share findings from this survey during the summer, and CAMOC members will be able to vote officially on the issue as part of CAMOC’s General Assembly in fall 2024.
