All active CAMOC members are entitled to vote in the board election taking place online 7-13 November.
An email with the voting link will be sent to all active members (based on the current records in ICOM’s IRIS membership database) by 7 November. Voters can cast a ballot choosing up to 11 candidates. The online voting portal closes 13 November at 11:59 GMT. The new board will be announced at the CAMOC General Meeting on 15 November.
Members are also invited to vote on pursuing a name change for the committee to ICOM Cities. The proposed name change is part of a broader effort by ICOM to replace International Committee acronyms with shorter names reflecting the committees’ core activities. The purpose is to enhance communication, visibility, and inclusivity.
A consultation last year found 76% of those responding to a survey in favor of a name change for the committee, with 57% favoring the name ICOM Cities.
