Moscow 2005
The first meeting to set up CAMOC, April 2005
CAMOC (Collections and Activities of Museums of Cities) was set up in April 2005 during a conference in Moscow on city museums organised by Moscow City Museum.
The meeting was attended by two representatives of ICOM: Eloisa Zell and John Zvereff, Secretary-General. An Executive Board was set up with Galina Vedernikova, Director of Moscow City Museum as President and Ian Jones as Secretary. Shortly following the meeting approval was given to the committee as one of ICOM’s international committees.
