City Museums and the Future of the City

Our conference took place at the Seoul Museum of History. The proceedings have been published in print form under the title City Museums and the Future of the City by the Museum. It is in Korean and English and edited by our colleagues at the Museum.

We had 119 delegates from Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Greece, India, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Russian Federation, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

It was wonderfully organised by ICOM Korea, The Korean Museum Association and the Seoul Museum of History – in particular its Director, Woo-Lim Kim and Karen Koh. In addition, the Museum donated delegates’ registration fees to CAMOC. The money has been used for our publications, in printed and electronic form.
